Selecting film - Film selection can be based on many things and the mk-vr can utilize a wide range of film choices. Most users will choose B&W films because they can be quickly & more easily processed than color emulsions. B&W negative film is an excellent choice when photographing documents. The film speed or ASA, sometimes refered to as ISO, has a great affect on lighting and exposure times and thus image quality. The mk-vr cameras have a fixed aperture which should be considered when selecting film. The aperture or F-Stop can be F3, F4, F5.6, F8. The larger the f-stop number, the smaller the aperture hole. An F8 camera will have a longer exposure time than an F5.6. Slower speed film, that with a lower ASA / ISO, requires a longer exposure time than higher speed films. Films from 2ASA - 100ASA will work well with most apertures.
